At the age of fifteen, Daniel read a book where the author encouraged young people to set a goal to earn $1,000,000 before the age of thirty.

As Daniel seriously considered making this a goal for his life, he realized that having money just for the sake of having money was not that important to him. After thinking about his life growing up on the mission field, he decided that bringing souls into heaven was his real passion. Right then, he sat down and scribbled this goal in his notebook, "I want to reach 1,000,000 people for Jesus before I turn thirty."

Instead of trying to become a millionaire, he committed to winning one "million heirs" for the kingdom of God. After completing this goal three years early, Daniel decided to win 1,000,000 people to Jesus every year.
